'Mediated Past'

How does consciousness come into being?
In this work video has been used to explore
the mediation of the past and the way that
memory informs presence through
time and space.

Are memories held entirely within living beings
and the culture which feeds their conscious experience
through the generations? Where do I end and
where does stone begin?

If nothing is fixed in time and space, what is the substance
of memory that so readily informs presence?
I remember the stone in a single thought.
